A journey that combines the stunning natural beauty of the cliffs of the south with the great stories of the Old and the modern history.

The Morning | Nidri and the Myth of Homer:

We started with a walk along the beaches and breakfast in Nidri. We enter the archeological hypothesis of Wilhelm Dörpfeld: What was this island the real Ithaca homérica? In addition, we will discover the impact of the greco-argentine Aristotle Onassis in the development of the region in front of the island of Skorpios.

Noon | Secrets of the East Coast & Lunch in Vasiliki:

Stop strategic (40 min) in a bay with crystal-clear choice (Desimi, Mikros Gialos, Aftelli or Ammoussa). Then, we went to Vasiliki, a picturesque fishing village, ideal for lunch next to the port.

The Afternoon | Porto Katsiki and/or Egremni

We spent the afternoon at two jewel indisputable of the Ionian sea. Vertical walls of limestone and a turquoise sea, surrealist rated among the best on the planet.

The Sunset | Cape Lefkatas (Leap of Sappho)

Hike down to the southernmost tip of the island. On the white cliffs where was erected the sanctuary of Apollo, we will witness a sunset legendary full of history and mythology.

The Night | Dinner in the Port of Sivota

We closed the day with a dinner by the sea in the bay of Sivota, the finishing touch to an unforgettable day before returning to Nidri.

The Morning | Castle of Agia Mavra and Lefkada Capital

Breakfast and exploration of the fortress of Agia Mavra. A trip back in time through the tensions of the middle ages Fourth Crusade, the presence of swiss vs almogávares catalans, and the clash between the Venetians and the Ottomans.

Noon | Agios Nikitas & Milos Beach

Walk along the picturesque pedestrian village of Agios Nikitas and landing at Milos Beach, with a zip of bay paradise. Lunch in front of the sea.

The Afternoon | Kathisma, Avali and/or Megali Petra

Relaxing afternoon in the vibrant Kathisma Beach. As the sun goes down, we walk around the most indomitable of the coast: Avali and the monumental rock formations of Megali Petra.

The Sunset | Drinks Author "Fly Me" (Exanthia) or 360°

We climbed up to the mountain village of Exanthia to enjoy a cocktail in an exclusive restobar hung from the cliff, with privileged panoramic views over the Ionian.

The Night | Tradition in Karya

Dinner or dessert traditional mountain village with more life and authenticity of the island, surrounded by banana trees before returning to Nidri.

OF LEFKAS TO AGIA MAVRA

A fascinating tour to understand the evolving geopolitics of the island, from the large settlements of the Ancient world to the domain of the empires to the sea.

The Old Town & Corinth:

Stroll through the picturesque historic center of Lefkada, walking through its narrow streets and colorful while we went back to its founding by the corinthians in the seventh century.C.

Medieval fortress of Agia Mavra:

 Dive in the breathtaking coastal fortress to revive the arrival of the venetians and their fierce border conflicts against the Ottoman Empire.

Windmills & Ancient Theatre:

We rode to the iconic beach of the mills in Agios Ioannis and we move closer to the ancient theater of Lefkas (subject to opening) to complete the picture archaeological.

A journey that connects the great myths homeric Greek Classical with the dazzling modern history of the Ionian sea.

The Enigma Of The Homeric:

Walk the beaches and the center of Nidri to explore the famous thesis archaeological: What is Lefkada true Ithaca of Odysseus?

Archaeological path Bike:

 Cycled towards the Royal Tombs of Steno, and the legacy of Wilhelm Dörpfeld, the legendary archaeologist who worked on Troy and devoted his life to revealing the secrets of this bay.

Nature & the Legacy Onassis:

Visit to the refreshing Waterfalls in Nidri and a review of how the mogul greco-argentine Aristotle Onassis transformed forever the story, and the rhythm of this people from the neighboring island of Skorpios.

A road trip concentrated along the coast to the south. Strategic stops and postcard views in Mikros Gialos (Or Ammousa), the port of Vasiliki, in the stunning waters of Egremni and Porto Katsiki, are the cliffs of Cape Lefkatas, and the charming fishing village of Sivota.

(Ideal to carry in the afternoon and take advantage of the sunset in the south).

An epic journey to the milestone that changed the course of the mediterranean world: the clash between the Republic and the Roman Empire.

The Scenario of Actium (31.C.):

We visited the strait between Preveza and Aktio, where the fleet of Octavian Augustus faced those of mark Antony and Cleopatra in a naval battle legendary.

Nikopolis (The City of Victory):

Exploration of the imposing archaeological site founded by Augustus to commemorate his victory. A key hub of the ancient world that housed the famous school stoic philosopher Epictetus.

Museum & Beach:

View of the Archaeological Museum of Preveza, which houses the remains of Nikopolis and free time to relax on the beaches inland before returning.

COASTAL ROUTE OF ACARNANIA:
VILLAGES AND RIVIERA CONTINENTAL

A road trip is authentic, and outside the usual tourist routes, touring the coastline, facing the archipelago of the Ionian sea.

We crossed the strait to explore the beautiful walled city. Think of the historic Battle of Lepanto of 1571, and we enjoyed a lunch at the picturesque medieval port.

Panoramic Anfiloquia:

Stop for a coffee with a view of the port of the Gulf of Arta before embarking on the final stretch.
